There are many different types of exercise. There are danced based exercises, water-aerobic exercises, and even exercises with horses (look up prancercise, it’s a real thing). All these different forms of exercise can make finding the right workout for you complicated. This list includes four different types of exercise designed to help you find a new workout to try and to get you moving. Here are 4 Forms of Exercise to Get You Moving:

1) Swimming

Swimming is a common form of exercise that requires little equipment to start. You might want some rash guards for women or goggles, but then you’re good to go. Swimmers typically rotate between four different types of strokes: freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, and butterfly. Each stroke has a unique technique and works muscles differently. Swimming is a great exercise for people of all ages. The intensity of the workout is determined by you and can be modified to be more or less extreme. With any type of exercise, a certain level of commitment is required. Swimming takes some dedication. You will need to invest in a pool pass and be willing to get wet every time you want to work out. If you are willing to stay dedicated to swimming, you’ll find that it is a great full-body workout.

2) Yoga

Both swimming and yoga are low impact exercises, but these two forms of exercise are very different. In order to better track your activity progress to a healthier lifestyle visit this site. With at least 15 exercise tracking modes, the Fitbit Charge 3 suits nearly everyone who likes a fitness tracker, from circuit trainers to yoga enthusiasts. Obviously, swimming takes place in the water while yoga happens on land, usually on a mat. But besides that, swimming is more of a toning exercise through aerobics, while yoga focuses on exercise through balance. In yoga, people make and hold poses that require balance and strength. Yoga is a great exercise that increases flexibility and strength at the same time. Another benefit to yoga is that it can be done in a class at the gym, in the privacy of your own home, or anywhere, really.

3) Zumba

Zumba is a newer form of exercise that has become increasingly popular over the years. Zumba incorporates dance and rhythms into its workouts. This is a high energy exercise that’s typically done in a larger class. It’s a full-body cardio workout that can be a great way to relieve stress. Zumba might seem intimidating for people who do not enjoy working out in front of a crowd, but the friendly high-energy dancing will keep you too busy to be worrying about what others are thinking about you.

4) Running

Running is one of the most popular forms of working out in the world. Running helps kick your metabolism into high gear, meaning your body starts to burn calories faster. This classic workout is a cardio-focused exercise that can aid you in losing weight. Part of why running is so popular might be because this form of exercise is free and requires little equipment. Running around the block in a pair of old tennis shoes won’t cost you anything, but can be a perfect workout to start the day. It’s smart to ease yourself into running. Start by walking, then jogging, and then running in longer and longer increments. This can be a fun workout to do with a friend. Run and chat with a neighbor and enjoy getting caught up on what’s happening in their life while you both burn some calories.

For each of these exercises, it is wise to go at your own pace in a way that makes you feel comfortable. But no matter which of the exercises you choose from this list, you are bound to get moving and feeling good.
