Inglot Eyeshadow Review + Swatches

Hey again!

DSC_0116

INGLOT is one of the brands that I discovered such a long time ago, when I  wasn’t even that crazy about makeup. This name lived many years in my head but for some mysterious reason I just never went and bought anything from them … and finally, a week ago (good song, I know 🙂 ) I finally decided to go and order some of their eyeshadows. Of course, I HAVE TO share this experience with my reader friends.

If you’re curious if this brand is worth the money and you want to see the pictures, swatches and my opinions on it… KEEP ON SCROLLING!

Description:

What I was really surprised, is how carefully each eyeshadow was packaged. Each eyeshadow was sealed in some kind of plastic bag filled with air, that I was only able to open with scissors. Then it was put in a standard little black carton box, which also looked very nice and off high quality.

PROS & CONS

PROS:

1. Amazing packaging;

  2. Good pigmentation;

3. Huge variety of colours;

4.Easily blendable shades;

5. You can buy three shades of colour in one eyeshadow pan.

CONS:

1. Some colours are very chalky (I wanted to swatch the yellow shade and somehow from my finger the eyeshadow got all over the palette);

2. When the shade is applied on the lid, colour fades very quickly;

When MakeupGeek and Lorac eyeshadows can be perfectly worn without the eyeshadow base, INGLOT ones can’t. Even though the pigmentation is quite good, when I apply the shades on my eye, the intensity of the colour disappears. That is unfortunate. However, if you use a primer, the colours look amazing on the eye.

THE CASE

INGLOT Eyeshadow Case $18,52

You can buy it HERE.

This case is ruled by the idea of magnets. It is made of  a VERY VERY high quality plastic. In four corners the palette has four magnets, that are extremely strong. I cannot tell you enough, how much I enjoy INGLOT cases. They are so different than any other palette I have had.

With one eyeshadow touched to a magnet I was able to lift the whole palette. The palette itself is quite heavy. All in all, the quality of the case IS ON POINT!

Verdict:

All in all, I like INGLOT. I am very satisfied with the whole eyeshadow packaging and the quality of the case. However, I was expecting a little better pigmentation, since the price is quite high. Nonetheless, with the primer all of the shades work perfectly. I am really satisfied with the shades that I got, the colours are extremely pretty. I cannot wait to play with the palette more and create a whole bunch of makeup tutorials for you! 😉

    Love the idea of buying the colors you want in one palette and the three in one shades also look great. Quality sounds a bit less exciting though.

    Yes, they have a huge variety of beautiful shades.:) When I started picking out the shades that I wanted, I had 30 shades in my cart and had to narrow it to 10. 😀 It was hard, I won’t lie 😀
