7 Ways to Give Your Feet Some TLC

After a long day of working, my feet always feel tired. Our feet are a kind of unsung hero. Personally, I don’t think twice about my feet as I go through the day unless I’ve made the mistake of wearing heels while running errands. Then all I can think about is how badly my feet hurt. Our feet deserve a little more credit and pampering than we give them. So, ladies and gentlemen, give your feet a little extra tender love and care today. Here are 7 Ways to Give Your Feet Some TLC:

1) Basics

When people shower, their focus is not typically about washing their feet. Simply giving yourself a little foot scrub in the shower is a way to quickly give your feet some TLC. Your feet do a lot of work, so you want to keep them healthy and clean. 

2) Pedicure

A pedicure is a perfect way to pamper your feet. A nice foot bath, exfoliation, massage, moisturize, and even a little polish, if you want, can help your feet feel and look refreshed. While it’s typically women who get pedicures, men can get pedicures too – though you’ll probably want to opt-out of the nail polish.

3) Exfoliate

Feet can get dry and scaley. Scaley heels can be annoying and feel like they stick to things, or they can even cause pain. Use a pumice stone to rub away all the dry skin on your feet. 4) Moisturize

Feet, especially the heels, can become dry and cracked. This is even more of a problem in warm weather when flip flops and sandals become the shoe of choice. 5) Nails

6) Proper Shoes

You can help your feet out significantly by wearing proper shoes. Shoes with arch support will give your feet the extra brace and comfort they need to handle being walked on all day long. A cushioned sole versus hard flat padding will make a large difference. Wear tennis shoes or add arch support inserts to other shoes to show your feet some extra love.

7) Rest

The most relaxing way to show your feet some TLC? Give those puppies a break. After a long day of work, come home, sit back, kick off your shoes, and rest your feet. Prop them up on the coffee table and turn on your favorite TV show. You and your feet deserve to relax after a busy day.
