CND Shellac Gel Nails Tutorial is here! I am using my Shellac polishes for half a year now. I am very satisfied with this stuff, I tried so many gel nail polish brands but Shellac is the one that I love the most. However, they are a bit more pricey than the regular gel polishes but in my opinion, they are worth paying a bit more. Why?
1. Because it is really long lasting, I can wear the polish for 3 weeks with no or very minimal chipping.
2. It does not irritate my skin, where most of other popular gel nail polishes do. If you also have allergic reaction to any other gel polish, i recommend you to try shellac, it worked for me.
3. Their color range got pretty good over the time, there are so many beautiful colors launched.
4. Even if you apply a dark color on your nail, you can get away with only one layer because the polishes are very pigmented!
I did my nails today and decided to show you how i do my gel manicure and what I use. Hope you’ll find it helpful 🙂
These are the things that I used for this tutorial: LED lamp; Gel cleanser to remove tackiness after applying and curing gel polish; Nail Acetone; Dotting tools to create a design on my nail; Some cotton pads; CND Shellac Base Coat; CND Shellac Top Coat; CND Shellac Polish Satin Pajamas; CND Shellac Polish Plum Pasley.
1. Apply CND Shellac Base Coat on your natural nail.
2. Cure it under LED lamp for 2 minutes. My lamp is 9W and it works perfectly.
3. This time I applied 2 coats of CND Shellac Satin Pajamas, each time cured my nails under the lamp for 2 minutes.
5. Instead of leaving gold shimmer in the middle of the sticker I applied CND Shellac Plum Pasley with the dotting tool to cover it.
6. Apply CND Shellac Top Coat and cure it for 2 minutes.
THAT’S IT! YOU HAVE A BEAUTIFUL MANICURE FOR WEEKS 🙂

I’ve never tried the gel – always seemed like too many things to buy, but now I find fixing chipped nail polish every other day. Roughly how much does it cost to get started?
The same was for me, I just got tired of re-doing my nails every other day, so i decided to invest my money into gel nail kit. I bought my first kit for 70$ plus I had to pay extra 12$ for a nail polish of my choice, this is the one that I bought: http://www.dependcosmetic.com/int/Product.asp?PageNumber=121&Product_Id=804
It was enough for a start. Gel kit sets are quite pricey, but these polishes will last you about 4 or even more months. And the lamp… I have it for more than a year now and it still works fine.
If you will decide to try gel manicure, i recommend you to buy a kit also, it is more convenient that way. 🙂

Beautiful post and beautiful nails! 😀 I’d just like to ask what’s the difference between regular and gel nail polish?
The main difference between the two is that the gel applied to the nail is cured and will then last for up to 2 weeks. A traditional manicure will start to chip after a few days. 🙂
