Not that long ago I did a review on Makeup Revolution Bake & Finish vs Banana Powder and today I wanted to compare Makeup Revolution Bake & Finish vs Luxury Baking Powder. I talked all about the cons and pros in detail of this product in my previous post, which you can find HERE.
First Impressions/ Bake & Finish vs Banana Powder
From a first look Makeup Revolution Ghost Finish seems to be too white and Makeup Revolution Luxury Baking Powder should be too yellow for my skin tone.
When I first tried Makeup Revolution Luxury Baking Powder I really loved it, used it almost everyday. This shade gives a very natural brightness under my eyes, but I wanted something more dramatic to look more awake. I picked up a lightest shade called BAKE & FINISH which is a totally ghostly white.
For me my experiment totally failed. If I let it sit for too long on my face, it does set my makeup very well, but also looks pale and white. It’s not a pretty look. You can tell I’m wearing powder, it doesn’t photograph nicely either.
Verdict
Maybe BAKE & FINISH shade would fit a very pale skin, but for my skin tone I’ll stick with my favorite Makeup Revolution Banana Powder. I may be using Ghost Finish for sculpting my cheekbones or nose. Sometimes less is more. I learned that using Banana powder gives me enough brightness & doesn’t look too creepy and white on my skin. No more experimenting on baking powder part for now. π
